EU H2020 STORM & DIGILOGIC projects to cooperate together

As the world experiences shortages in the supply of goods ranging from children’s toys to computer chips and manufacturing components, the fundamental importance of logistics has become more widely recognized. The two EU H2020 funded projects STORM – Smart freight TranspOrt and logistics Research Methodologies and DIGILOGIC- Africa sustainable network of DIH focusing on Smart Logistics address logistics challenges from two different, yet converging, perspectives.

The STORM project is focused on designing concepts, methods, and tools to meet the new needs for analysis, monitoring and assessment arising from emerging disruptive technologies and trends in freight and logistics transport, while the DIGILOGIC project is focused on expanding cooperation between European and African digital innovation hubs to improve logistics within and between the two continents. Thus, STORM can provide DIGILOGIC with a wealth of information about technologies, and DIGILOGIC can provide STORM with feedback about their practical applicability. In particular, DIGILOGIC can provide information about how different contexts moderate the effectiveness of different technological options.

Both projects have agreed to join efforts and cooperate towards exchange of information, organization of joint events,as well as in stakeholder engagement and feedback across their focus areas and geographic environments.
